The Marriage Connection
The Marriage Connection is an interactive experience designed to help couples make a new connection in their marriage or take a good marriage to new heights. The seminars can be held on a weekend or on several separate occasions.
The topics of the sessions are:

2. A Harmony of Differences: The battle of the sexes Learn to appreciate the unique way God has made your spouse and to work together with each other as a dynamic team.
3. Conflict in Marriage: How to have a good fight and stay in love Explore how you and your spouse can navigate through the issues you face in an intentional way that leads to understanding and peace.
4. The Math and Music of Communication: To know and be known Learn how to communicate more effectively with your spouse as you discover that true communication is both a science and an art.
Key features of the Marriage ConnectionBiblical teaching
Each session contains a learning component that centres on Biblical texts. Examples include learning about vows and covenants, the origin of communication, the meaning of marriage, how conflict started, and why men and women are different.
Interactive sessions
The seminars are filled with hands-on exercises and opportunities for discussion and reflection designed to help each couple learn more about their spouse.
Non-threatening atmosphere
No one is forced to do anything during these sessions. Couples are invited and encouraged to learn more about each other and about God’s design for their marriage.
Working with the local church
The Marriage Connection is presented through local churches that own the event and can run it the way that works best for them. Some churches offer a marriage retreat weekend, others a series of weeknight dates for couples. We’ll provide ideas to help make the event successful. Simply book a Focus on the Family Canada presenter to begin the process.
Follow-up activities
Each seminar offers a number of after-session activities for couples to take their Marriage Connection experience further. These include discussion starters, date night ideas and recommended resources.
Connection with pastors
Our regional directors are experienced and gifted speakers, most with backgrounds in pastoral ministry. They are passionate about encouraging marriages and are deeply committed to the local church. They desire to help churches in their ongoing ministry and love to connect with pastors to find out how God is using their church to build marriages for the cause of Christ.
