Who we are

The term "Faith at Home" was coined by Mark Holmen during his ministry as senior pastor of Ventura Missionary Church. Mark recently stepped down in his role as Senior Pastor in order to serve full-time as a national and international consultant and speaker for the "Faith at Home" movement. He is serving as a missionary to help churches around the world. It is our privilege to partner with Mark Holmen and help him to advance the Faith at Home message throughout Canada and the rest of the world.

In Canada, Faith at Home is represented by Brian Siewert, who is also serving as a missionary with the oversight of Family Life Canada and Power to Change to help local churches. The Leadership Centre Willow Creek Canada and Focus on the Family Canada continue to be contributing voices in the Faith at Home discussion in Canada.

FAMILY LIFE CANADA                                                                                                                                            FamilyLife Canada had its humble beginnings in 1988 in Edmonton, Alberta when John and Ev Baerg began hosting Weekend to Remember conferences using video tapes of Family Life USA conference speakers. (Family Life USA had begun operation ten year earlier in 1978.) Video tapes were replaced with trained, outstanding speakers a few years later.    Since its inception, tens of thousands of couples have attended FamilyLife Conferences in various locations across the nation. In addition FamilyLife Canada has assisted in the development of family ministries in other countries.  FamilyLife Canada, a division of Power to Change Ministries, (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ, Canada) is headquartered in Langley, BC.    Click here to learn more about Family Life Canada.

THE LEADERSHIP CENTRE WILLOW CREEK CANADA                                                                          The Leadership Centre Willow Creek Canada began in 1992 under the name The International Centre for Leadership Development and Evangelism. After spending a year praying, planning and vision casting, they merged with Willow Creek Association Canada in 2000, becoming The Leadership Centre Willow Creek Canada. Their vision is "that each church would reach its redemptive potential." They do this through their mission to envision, equip, and encourage Christian leaders to build prevailing local churches. FOCUS ON THE FAMILY CANADA
Focus on the Family Canada is a charitable organization which has been serving families in Canada since opening its doors in 1983. For over 25 years, Focus on the Family Canada has been providing care, advice, support and encouragement to families at every stage of life. They have worked hard to respond to the many real issues families face and to provide sound and practical guidance based on Christian principles.
